Jonathan is a 20 year resident of Clayton North Carolina, he has been teaching guitar and bass lessons for over twelve years.
Working closely side by side with Ivan Hampden Jr. during the past 10 years as a music instructor and mentor to many young and adult students, Jonathan has joined us at the Hamptown Music Institute to continue with his passion for teaching music.
He started playing electric guitar at a young age and eventually studied classical guitar and music theory at East Carolina University. Jonathan has extensive experience as a performing musician, He has performed in several bands, covering a broad genre of musical styles, including classic rock, jazz, blues, country, RnB and classical music.
Jonathan is proficient in music theory, and his knowledge and understanding of music has made him a strong and competent instructor. Though he loves performing music, his passion and primary love has always been teaching music.
